A

Psychological assessment of the donor:

The donor came to the oocyte donation program primarily out of curiosity. She learned about donation a few years ago, but at first she didn’t dare to try it. And when she had children, she understood from her own experience what motherhood is. She is not planning more children yet and wants to be useful to others – to provide the opportunity for parenthood. She admits that she feels valuable in the donation program.
The donor is divorced, raising two children on her own – a 9-year-old daughter and a 2.5-year-old son. Despite the fact that her husband does not show interest in raising children, she feels the strength to cope on her own. She believes that it is important for children to see and feel a happy mother, a reliable mother, who spends quality time with them, supports their interests, gives love and care.
The donor talks about her children with admiration and tenderness. Her daughter is active, sporty – roller skates, a bicycle, and a skateboard are her constant “companions.” She studies at a music school, in the piano class, has good results, the teacher thinks she is talented. She is an inquisitive, intelligent girl, tries everything new, learns with interest.
The son is calmer, gentler, gentler. He is playful, develops quickly, learns everything new. The donor is happy to be their mother.
The donor talks about her childhood with a smile and warm memories. Her mother raised her and her sister alone, her father did not participate in their upbringing. She was the eldest child, so she jokingly talks about her greater responsibility, exemplary behavior, and perseverance. She was a playful child, active, and athletic. She considers her childhood to be cool and happy, thanks to her mother, who is loving, kind, and caring. She is still grateful to her mother for always being there in difficult moments, helping, supporting, not judging, and understanding.
The donor studied well, she had a good memory, so she had enough time to listen carefully to the material in class, and she would remember it. The donor has a penchant for mathematical sciences. She easily and with interest managed mathematics, chemistry, and physics. She paid more attention to subjects that were interesting to her. But when she had to pass something even in “unfavorite” subjects, she knew how to get out of it and come up with something. She was smart and resourceful. She attended various creative clubs – beading, crocheting and knitting.
After the 10th grade, the donor passed the college entrance exams and entered a budget-funded economic college. She later received a secondary economic education there, a junior specialist qualification.
She passed the final exams, although at first she was afraid that she would not succeed. But she has a life credo – to go where it is scary. After that, she went to university and received a bachelor's degree as a banking specialist. She remembers her student years as the best and most interesting times – a more independent, responsible life, but at the same time exciting, fun, gaining new experience, new acquaintances.
Now the donor is on maternity leave, has part-time employment – she works as a manager of an online clothing store.
Previously, the donor sought to please other people, to have good relations with everyone. Now she is more selective in her communication – a couple of close friends are enough for her to have quality communication. She believes that it is better to be around, to spend time with people who appreciate, respect, and love you. Donor always has her own opinion, and when necessary, she knows how to defend it. She can be a stubborn person, always doing what she thinks is right.
She considers her most important achievement to be that she does not give up, no matter how difficult life circumstances may be.
She dreams of becoming successful, having her own business, buying her own home and car. And her most romantic dream is to travel with her family in a trailer, driving on different roads, seeing other countries, and learning about new cultures.
